Pronoia - Tomorrows

ARTIST Pronoia is the artistic identity of Lars Louis de Grauw, a Dutch generative artist based in Utrecht. His practice combines programming, artistic experimentation and philosophical curiosity about technology. He is also active in AI strategy and has participated in discussions about the future of generative art and decentralized creative platforms.

His work belongs to a tradition in which artists design systems capable of producing countless visual variations rather than creating every composition manually.

WORK Tomorrows combines futuristic digital worlds with visual references to early computer culture, particularly ASCII art and the computer terminals of the 1970s–1990s. This creates an interesting contrast between technological nostalgia and imagined futures.

One of its defining technical features is that the artwork is generated directly by an on-chain program. Each new mint uses blockchain information to create a unique world. The collection therefore explores what happens when artistic creation becomes a collaboration between human imagination, algorithms and decentralized infrastructure.

COLLECTION With his exploration of men and machine producing output, the work of Pronoia would be a great addition to the Copernicus Collection.
